Living Legends

Living Legends is a Town & Gown program to recognize an outstanding living artist that has made significant contributions in the Arts. UACED partners with the College of Arts and Sciences (including several departments), UA Museums, UA Press, Stillman College and the Tuscaloosa Arts Council. Previous honorees are Kathryn Tucker Windham, Charlie Lucas and Frank “Doc” Adams.  (Frank "Doc" Adams segment from "Alabama Art Seen" episode 103. "Alabama Art Seen" is produced entirely by University of Alabama students in the Telecommunication and Film (TCF) department. Episodes of the show air on WVUA, which broadcasts out of the College of Communication and Information Sciences at UA.)
