Black Belt Hospitality Training

Through a grant provided by The AL Association of RC&D Councils in partnership with Alabama Black Belt Adventures and Experience, LLC, The University of Alabama Center for Economic Development is pleased to invite you to a free two hour in-person hospitality training workshop. This training is intended for front line hospitality workers, who receive the most visitors and have never had the funds or the opportunity to be trained in hospitality.
Who:         Front line hospitality workers
What:        Four Course Hospitality Training (in person)
When:       June 20, 2022, 2 PM - 4 PM
Where:      Black Belt Treasurers Cultural Arts Center, 209 Claiborne Street, Camden, AL 36726

How:          Through a grant provided by The AL Association of RC&D  Councils, administered by The University of Alabama Center for                                  Economic Development (UACED)
Why:          The development of this hospitality training will empower service industry employees with the tools needed to attract, retain                            and grow tourism in the region. This program will be developed with this region in mind, give real world examples, role play                                with conflict resolution, and explain why quality service affects everyone's quality of life. After graduation, a site visit will be                                conducted within 6 months for a quality control check and report card that goes back to graduates.
WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT?
To elevate the hospitality industry after the pandemic through exceptional service through training that allows all employees to be on an even playing field when working - regardless of experience, working history or lifestyle differences. If visitors have exceptional hospitality service in our area, they are likely to return and support more businesses in the area bringing more economic development to the region.
